UBM plc update on its Awards & Partnerships business

Following a strategic review of UBM Awards & Partnerships undertaken in late 2013, UBM has now decided to absorb certain of its awards events into other UBM divisions.

Those UBM award events which are closely aligned with communities served by UBM businesses - such the Building, Food Ingredients and Chemist & Druggist Awards - continue to be operated by the relevant UBM division and will now be run by the local divisional team.

The National Business Awards will now operate as part of the UBM Live portfolio while awards events which are unrelated to the communities served by other UBM businesses, such as National Sales Awards and the National Cake Awards, will be discontinued.

Following completion of a formal employee consultation process, a number of the UBM Awards & Partnerships team are taking up roles within UBM but regrettably a number of others have now left the business.  We thank them for their efforts and wish them all success for the future.
